In New York, there is some difficulty in growing plants on your own since the winters are pretty dismal and grey. It may be hard to start a new garden under those circumstances, but there is a solution to that problem. Hydroponic growing is great for people in that situation because you can grow your own plants in containers and watch them grow. With the right support and system to grow, you can have your own plants that grow even in the dead of winter.
